Through this festival, we intend to promote and enhance the value of Jikji as a forerunner of the movable type printing technology, enhance locals’ sense of pride, and contribute to the development of the local community through the development and exhibition of Jikji related content and international exchanges as well.

• We aim to make the festival a special event designed to publicize the greatness of the invention of Jikji a movable-type printing technology and develop the value much further.
  We also strive to have the Jikji Special Culture Zone which includes the Cheongju Early Printing Museum, Heungdeoksa Temple, etc. recognized as a symbolically important place of Cheongju.
• We will continue to strive to make the festival a special opportunity to have locals united as one and engage in merrymaking activities through positive participation.
• We will also do our best to promote the value of Jikji by accumulating new achievements through the festival and continuing to develop related tangible/intangible assets.
